During the 0 administration, then AG Eric Holder described himself as 0's "wingman".

When last I checked, Capt. Alzheimers was VP during the entirety of the 0 administration.

As he just said he would have resigned if he had disagreed with 0 while he was VP, I assume he agreed with 0 that the proper role for the AG is to be the "president's wingman".

And that the proper role for the DOJ was to lie to the FISA courts by presenting knowingly false information in order to get and then continue permission to spy on the opposition party's nominee, then president elect, then president?

So if it was good that 0 treated the DOJ as HIS justice department when he was president, but it is now bad to do so, when during the previous 4 years did he grow his new-found respect for an independent DOJ?

It doesn't prevent the POTUS from recommending, requesting or even demanding an investigation of some kind. If the DOJ is genuinely independent, then the efforts of the POTUS shouldn't really matter other than to do their best to ensure justice on behalf of the American people. If the president is elected by the people/EC, then I'm concerned if they don't have significant interraction with the DOJ...agian assuming they are independent.

Of course the proof is in the pudding. Talk means nothing without actually doing it. He will be evaluated like all other Presidents and we can vote him out or in after four years. Just the last few weeks have proven he will not be evaluated like other presidents. The rules are different for them. They have a distinct lack of self-awareness when they comment on the so-called politicization of the Department of Justice during Trump's time in office.

I guess there wasn't a politicized DoJ when Eric Holder raided CBS and FOX attempting to save the world from honest reporting on Benghazi.

I guess they believe an independent DoJ was at work when James Comey decided to draft a letter clearing Hillary Clinton before the so-called investigation into her illegal activities was ever launched.

We full well know they believe it was evidence of pure justice at work when Obama and his stooges in the DoJ/FBI decided to use a dossier to perpetrate multiple frauds upon the FISA Court to justify spying on a political opponent.

So, in their minds, we are going back to those wonderful days of justice being delivered by Democrats truly interested in protecting the notion of a neutral Department of Justice where the laws apply equally to all concerned. And if that sense of equal justice should apply to some well-connected Democrats more than rest? Well...so be it.

One last time, I voted for Biden. I did not, do not, care for Trump. I didnt vote for him last time and I didnt vote for him this time. I am THRILLED that we fired him, but I accepted that he won in 2016. I have criticized him many times and dont like the way he acts, talks, leads, etc. I also pray for him regularly because he is the President.

I simply provided some actual evidence of politicians trying to do that very thing whose party you supported in this election and are now trying to spin as a "unifying" for "all Americans". Pelosi is the leader of the democrats in the House and Biden, if he takes office, will be at least a figurehead leader of the democrat party. They do not say and support things that are unifying for Americans. They've been dishonest about quite a bit. And that's not even getting into Schumer, who is a couple seats away from leading the Senate.
