Feel free to live there, but what I have seen is not good. I have nothing against brown people, but rude people suck, and Atlanta is very high on the "rude" meter. Plus the traffic is horrible and the city is the dirtiest city in the south that I've seen.
Someone has never been to New Orleans.

Atlanta is the crown jewel of the Deep South.

I consider Gainesville, Florida to be the Southern most point of the Deep South...meaning I don't consider Orlando, Tampa or Miami to be in the Deep South.
Jacksonville, Pensacola and Tallahassee are definitely Deep South cities in Florida.

Atlanta has the most money, the most people, the highest paying jobs, and the most powerful people.

Cities with big economies and tons of money attract newer residents and Atlanta attracts people from all over the country.
And it was built when every county in the MSA was red with the exception of Fulton.

Looks like Atlanta is ready to begin its blue decent into ****holesdom see Chicago, Detroit, Milwalkee, Cleveland, Buffalo, Even NYC has people pour out of it. Yep Going blue is a city killing proposition.
Name me what great city in the United States is run by conservatives?

Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Ft Worth??????

The GOP is now the populist, blue collar party that the Democrats once were in the 90's.
The Republicans do best in the poorest, least educated regions in the Country.
The GOP does fantastic in cities like Midland, or Odessa that no one wants to live in.

The Cities with booming economies and high paying jobs are dominated by Democratic voters.

These cities also have the most affluent Republican voters.
The most elite Republicans in the United States live in Southern California.

Cali rose to greatness as a red state in the 60's and 70's
Ga the 90's as a red state. period of greatest growth.
You need to study a little more. Growth occurs in red states and yes they turn blue as cities fill with non native morons from other parts of the country. Happening to Texas right now. Anti business high regulation environments are killing blue states. Pay attention.

What is a 'high paying' job worth for recent college grad making 35K where a one bedroom apt rents for 1900.00, parking for a car $300, eating out $35 per meal. There is a reason everyone under 40 is living paycheck to paycheck. BTW the most recent data as them leaving cities in Droves. See New York

BTW: Funny you picked Midland. It has one of the highest percapita incomes in the US. You really are clueless.

Maybe you should learn what discretionary income is really about.

I've been to Midland. It sucks ass.

Ugly, dirty city out in the middle of nowhere. What is the point of having discretionary income if you have to live in Midland or Ector County?

Today's Republican party is strongest in rural areas that are poor and undeducated.

A large number of country club Republicans are now considered RINO's and a lot of them have left Trump's party turning former Republican Strongholds like Orange County or Northern Virginia blue.

If you look at states with the highest percentage of Residents missing their teeth....they tend to be dominated by the GOP.

My wife has met Stacy Abrams during a leadership event. She was with about 20 other women from all over the country. She said that 18 of the 20 absolutely lost their minds meeting her and worshipped her as if she was Oprah.

I had never even heard of her until she lost her gubernatorial race when suddenly she was ordained the second coming by the leftist media. My wife and one other were very confused by the adulation and she said it was pretty disgusting and that Abrams was unimpressive.

Oprah herself is unimpressive. The amount of people with true larger than life personalities is very small. Trump happens to be one of them. These people are very rare in general and usually end up being leaders of countries. Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil is another, so is Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines, as is Xi Jinping of China. Nigel Farage is one in the UK, but he gave up after Brexit.

The main commonality between these people is populism. Whether they are left or right wing populists, they all have an immense amount of gravitas that draws people to them with an ability to speak off the cuff and come across as a person of the people. This is why Obama does not qualify despite his popularity. Bill Clinton had the ability, which is why he beat the elder Bush. Reagan also had it in spades.

So Oprah is unimpressive and Obama doesn't qualify despite his popularity because he lacks gravitas and the ability to speak off the cuff, and come across as a person of the people, unlike POTUS, Xi, Bolsonaro, and Duterte.

My first inclination was to scoff at the ridiculous analysis, but your grouping is so hilarious that I'm going to have to concede the point. Obama doesn't belong in that gang of four, and Clinton and Reagan have no business being grouped in with them either.

Erdogan and Chavez are better fits if we're rolling with despicable populists and aspiring dictators as the only larger than life personalities.

Hey Everyone libs are about fairness and respect to others please note this in bold. He seems to be targeting blue voters in read states. I see racist connotations in this post."

Your entire belief system is flawed, hypocritical, and vile. Elitest and controlling in its essence. A danger to everyone's freedom.

    Oh, Btw
Remember your post, out of date and useless statistics, then you post an opinion on Midland Co. According to your stats Midland is a top 15 percapita income performer. Not even weighing the discretionary income argument.

When you use the much more realistic discretionary income numbers both Cali and NY have some of the nations highest poverty rates.

Trump told all of his voters to not vote by mail. People who cared about COVID voted by mail. People who cared about COVID were overwhelmingly not Trump voters. So what do you expect?

The in person voting is big time Trump. Then they count the count the COVID folks who stayed at home and voted legally by mail and folks are shocked that those voted are overwhelmingly for Biden? It happens like this every election?
Actually, he initially told everyone to vote by mail, and then vote in person on election day. That would prevent other people from using their registration to vote by mail illegally.

The MSM, of course, shrieked out that he was encouraging voter fraud. But actually, if the system worked as advertised, those who voted by mail would be turned away...

Let's go back to September 2019 and see if the following was a part of what happened in Georgia.

    Quote:

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. The personal information for every Georgia voter could be compromised.

Police said thieves stole two express poll machines, set up for a special school board election.
    Quote:

Sometime overnight, police said a burglar stole two machines used to check in voters. These are not the machines people voted on, but are used to check in voters.

The Fulton County Elections Director said they were locked up in a suitcase like this one inside the center. Poll workers noticed the case was gone this morning when they got in to open the polls.

"This is a really unfortunate event," said Fulton County Elections Director Rick Barron.
    Quote:

Diamant said this is a huge deal, because the elections director said the machines contained the entire state of Georgia voter file, which includes names, addresses and birthdates for all Georgia voters -- all now potentially compromised.

"It's a statewide voter file that's on there. It has name, address, and date of birth of all the voters in the state of Georgia," Barron said.

While Barron told Channel 2 Action News the data is password protected, for Georgia State University cybersecurity researcher Don Hunt, it's not 100 percent secure.

"Depending on the type of shell that they use and the type of software they're using, that's typically not that hard to break for someone who really knows what they're doing," Hunt said.

Meantime, Diamant ran all this past Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, the state's top elections official.

"I'll just say no one's happy about it," Raffensperger said. "I think it's a black eye on anyone's who's involved with elections, but also it's a wakeup call that that if it can happen there, it can happen anywhere."

And while Atlanta police works to identify the burglars and track down the missing machines,Raffensperger has a message to all local elections leaders.

"You need to do whatever you can do to secure your equipment," Raffensperger said.
The state will soon roll out a new, $100 million voting system which Raffensperger said will have a new iPad-based check-in system, which they can track and delete data remotely if they get stolen.

There's only one reason anyone would ever steal that....if they planned on using it to commit voter fraud or to sell it to someone/some group who plans to commit voter fraud. Has absolutely no value to them otherwise.
