The intellectuals dilemma.

• Is it better to see reality and face how terrible the world is?
• Is it better to see a fictional world and be able to enjoy the terrible world as much as possible?

Focused on your happiness i think the answer is the latter. Focused on the future for your offspring / humanity or focused on Christ the answer is the former. Newsflash, history was brutal, beyond brutal and we are just so extremely blessed we can't properly contextualize bad things.

I too am a white 61 year old female. I too want the country I grew up in back. Dems still cheated back then but it was less blatant as they knew it was wrong and tried to hide it. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened had Nixon challenged the 1960 election in Illinois. If people had gone to jail for what happened in that election maybe we wouldn't be here.

On a lighter note, if Biden wins you'll get to watch watch his brain go for the next 4 years, if he makes it.

No, the reason we are where we are is due to cheating. Soros spent billions in local elections to have his folks put in place so he could cheat to victory.

Great point . This is something that should be taken up by folks in every state. Reform of the voting process to wring out the fraud and cheating including prosecution of those found guilty of it to the fullest extent of the law.

• Old enough to remember the moon landing at age 10
• Bicentennial at age 16/17, too young to vote in 1976
• Age 21-29 for the glorious Ronald Reagan years
• Able to purchase a home at 1980s/1990s prices

There must have been some great times in there.

• 18/19 y/o drinking age.

We have a place at the beach and there are a bunch of women who have done like you describe. They came to the beach young, stayed drunk, stoned and tanned while getting laid by different men everyday. Now they look 20 years older than their age, they have nothing and they clean condos to get by. The party is over for them.

I'm friends with Carlos but I didn't meet him until 2004. It's funny to look at some of this old video and remember back when I was in Junior High in Saudi Arabia and first heard of Quiet Riot. Never in a million years did I think I'd eventually become friends with any of these guys or other groups like Dio, Dokken, Ratt, etc.

It's amazing how many musicians from that LA Metal / Rock scene were born around 1958-1959. About the same age as the OP.
