yep, they took forever to call any meaningful states for Trump, but called states for Biden without hesitation

That's how it felt but I don't think its true.

Their models showed that mail in ballots favored Biden and of course large cities. Most of the important states that Trump won were very thin margins. You can't call those when there are so many potential Biden votes left to count. It's that simple. In many cases, Trump votes came in first and the Biden vote lagged - so it took longer to meet the statistical standard for calling the race.

They eventually called the Trump states. It may have felt bad, but they got it right It's simple statistics and vote patterns and they have mostly been right.

Now the exception to this may be Arizona. They seem so sure of themselves on this one because they assume the outstanding vote favors Biden. So they felt absolutely sure since their models say that. Will that hold out? Probably, but if not, they will pay for it in a big way and will lose most of their credibility.

Outside of Arizona though, which we will see, their models have been pretty good and they have been right.

Now Fox polls - that's a whole different issue. Almost all the polls have no credibility at this point.

They may have been told that, but Fox news decision desk used actual election day sampling to feed their models, not what they may have been told. Their sampling told them that in virtually every case, the mail in vote favored Biden.
