"On Saturday, a federal appeals court granted a temporary stay that let's stand Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's controversial one-box-per-county directive, at least for now.

Abbott's directive which hits hardest sprawling Harris County, home to 5 million people, including residents of Houston will continue to be hashed out in the courts as the presidential election looms."

There is no greater example of voter suppression than this.

Election policies are in place to guarantee integrity of the election and should not be made up on the fly. It just happens that the County you are talking about has accusations made against Democratic surrogates for ballot harvesting. I don't think the 1 drop off box policy would have been imposed if there weren't credible accusations against Democrats in Houston and the Metroplex doing ballot harvesting that would be easier to get away with as the number of drop off boxes increased.

Maybe if the democrats stopped trying to cheat, there would be more lax rules for drop off boxes.

I admit I haven't followed this issue with drop box locations, but do I understand this correctly?

Voters have the option to request mail-in or absentee ballot that must be post marked by x date, they have the option to go to an early voting location from 10-13 to 10-27, they have the option to vote in-person on election day, and they have the option to drop off a mail-in ballot at the drop-off location in their county by election day.

That sounds like a lot of options and few excuses not to vote. Where is the suppression? Or is it suppression because certain people want tons of drop box locations across every county where anti-fraud controls and surveillance would be limited or non-existent?

Isn't the point of a "mail in ballot" the idea that you can mail it in?

Maybe they should decide to do more drive up voting locations. I think it's hilarious to use long lines in Harris County when the democrats control the implementation of the polling places as long as they meet the state regulations. They could enlarge the number of machines in the places that have long lines all by themselves, but if the democrats did that then they could no longer complain about long lines and having their vote suppressed.

What is the point of hand delivering a mail ballot?

If you're willing to go outside and do this then just drop it in the mailbox

Dimocrats always create the problems they whine about and want more government to fix. They're children. And they encourage lawlessness.

Seems a little fishy? there was 12 before they ordered it down to 1. In an election where mail in voting will be at record highs. Explain how it's not suppression

Mail in ballots can be mailed in.

Or go vote early or on election day in person.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I know it must be hard for you to understand because your angle is to get as many illegal immigrants, dead people, and harvested mail-in ballots as you can to vote for communism because you're enlightened and you know what's best for everyone else, but the measure here is obviously an effort to cut down on the fraud at all those drop-off locations where there are limited or nonexistent anti-fraud controls.

If you didn't send in your mail-in ballot in time and you're scared of the lines from the virus on election day, there is a drop-off location if you want to use it. That seems like another convenient option; not suppression.

Oh the "soft bigotry" of lowered expectations.

Blacks can't get ID's nor can they be expected to adhere to any of the numerous methods to vote, by the well defined dates and times.
