I always find a DQ or Braums with fat people working there. They seem to make the Blizzards or mixes for themselves, therefore they give me my money's worth.
DQ has replaced Whataburger for me. Every time I went to Whataburger, I'd get cold fries, no fries, wrong condiments, burger smashed, burger cold but fries hot, nasty old lettuce or tomato, or the drink machine would be out but they wouldn't tell me until I already paid. There would be some damn thing wrong with every single order I made. Even chicken strips would be screwed up by cold gravy, fries, or cold themselves, or they'd give me like 2.2 chicken strips in a box that's supposed to have 3.

This happened many times in a row and multiple locations around BCS. The quality has gone to hell, so I've moved on. DQ gives me a decent burger with fresh veggies, everything is hot, and their drink and soft serve machines are NEVER broken.
You must be the unluckiest person in the world. "Every time" you go something happens that never (or rarely) ever happens to anyone else. Remarkable.

I like DQ also, though. Don't sleep on the tacos, they are solid gold. DQ is always a good choice on a road trip if you've got a couple of hours to spare. It's good, ice cream for the kids, but brother they ain't ever in no hurry.
My wife and friends have noticed the same thing man. Maybe we're all unlucky, but the quality control isn't what it used to be. I was a regular Whataburger customer and huge fan for my whole life until a couple years ago. I'll certainly pick it if the choice is Whataburger or McDonald's/Taco Bell/Some other garbage place, but if there's a DQ or another local joint around I'm not gonna risk it anymore.

BTW I tried my first Braums burger this week and it beat whataburger had no idea that was possible

The Whataburger in Norman is OK. Nothing like the one on Texas Ave S. Since moving to Oklahoma, I've found that Braum's is the place to go.

Thanks to this thread had DQ tonight, first time in 25 years. Burger reminded of a slightly fresher burger king flame broiled burger (with fresh condiments), IMHO Whataburger beats them hands down. But I also got a taco, those are good! I will be a repeat customer for the tacos.

So after reading this thread last night, I had a hankering for a good old Whataburger. Swung through there for lunch today and saw this new burger, the Hatch Green Chili Burger.

If you like 'em somewhat spicy, this one is good. Recommend.
