He is not calling Aggies racists on the tweet that is the subject of this thread.
But he has this summer.
And double-downed on it.
And was supported by Bjork and Fisher.
Yeah, I'm pretty aware of what he said a couple months ago (although Bjork and Fisher never supported the actual content of his speech). In fact I've referenced Mond's comments critically on this thread.
But THIS 5-page and counting thread is ostensibly about his retweet in the OP. If we can't respond to
his position on Sully without expressing the kind of vitriol on this thread, then it's not a great reflection on us.
We can (should, IMO, based objective view of history) disagree with his views on Sully, but they should be answerEd with rational rebuttals showing the errors and shortcomings in his views. The knee-jerk emotional responses should be left for a trangression like when he implied Sully supporters are racist three months ago. Because that's not merely a disagreement, but an insult.
Again, are we the people who are ruled by our brains or the ones ruled our emotions? To me, one of the most compelling arguments for conservatism over liberalism is the reliance on logic instead of just relying on emotion. Y'all are coming across like an irrational mob on this thread.
