Trump broke the Big Ten Football Conference!!
And if they don't play, Trump gets to pin it solely on the governors and university leadership.rgag12 said:
I don't think the B1G is going to play football anytime soon. This was probably a courtesy call taken by the B1G commissioner in order to show respect to the president.
It's a good move by the president to show he wants and is trying to get football back, but as long as the university big wigs want to make a stand against football it can't be stopped.
You could argue the Big10 commissioner is playing this game based on his focus on social justice from the Yahoo Sports article a couple of days ago. He clearly has an agenda.Get Off My Lawn said:
It continues to amaze me that playing in an empty stadium hasn't been discussed. Without that discussion, it becomes clear that the "shut it down" folks are thinking about politics and not health.

Love this commercial from when the Big 10 was consistently overrated, fat and slow and consistently getting wrecked by the SEC.
What a bunch of nozzles... I cant believe they went with this ad. Please join in on the singing of the national anthem instead of please stand?Dr. Teeth said:
True. Same could be said of several B1G states as well.thomas20:29 said:No team wants to travel to Oregon or Washington...DifferenceMaker Ag said:Maybe that's because the PAC-12 commission hasn't called and asked him to help. I hadn't heard of any PAC12 parent dying to play
They fall for every single trap. They are trying to say see Trump is just playing politics. But now when Trump's team reaches out and pushes the PAC-12 to play football to they will be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Reject the help and prove that this is political or accept the help and Trump gets another victory in the return to normal belt.Verne Lundquist said:

i think most of the big X fans would take care of the rif-raf themselves (football states like Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc). Pac-12 fans would be burning the stadiums down.DifferenceMaker Ag said:True. BTW, my previous post was slathered in sarcasm.

By waiting for the PAC 12 to make the first move Trump's team is in a much stronger negotiating position. It isn't that complicated!
Sir Yacht said that Big Ten decided if they didn't play, they'd let teams join other leagues. That Michigan was looking at joining Big12.texsn95 said:

Then he said on 8/17 that Big Ten was announcing that week they would be playing the season in the Fall.
Sir Yacht makes things up. is his guess right this time?
Never heard of him before today, so thanks for the info.BMX Bandit said:
