This is quite a stretch. Poor Melania. No way she could remodel this without being attacked.

Again, because ONLY university and then sound-byte ("news") educated. Things like the history of the White House grounds you only learn by reading up on history AFTER and OUTSIDE of school. Unless some prof happens to mention it, its not an item that you study or should. You have to keep taking things into your brain outside of school and the press. If you don't you won't know things like such odd trivia and facts.AgGrad99 said:
Her remodel was a renovation, based on the original blueprints/design of Jackie Kennedy, from 1962. This was a nod to history, and to a Dem First Lady.
People are freaking out online, because they consider the removal of two small trees on the sides 'destroying our history'. I've never seen so much wailing over a garden.
Think about that.
Think about that in context of what's been happening in our country lately. Destruction of actual history, tearing down of monuments, stripping names, and history from buildings/schools/monuments, etc....
Yet, her restoration of a historical garden is the problem? It's what's 'heart-breaking' and 'racist'???
This country has gone insane.

So basically, once again it shows Democrats are not only the leading racists of not only our time but our past too.annie88 said:GeorgiAg said:

So Jackie Kennedy was in the KKK too?
Seriously. These people are insane.

I know you posted this for the humor, and I'm not knocking you nor am I the least upset at you.Quote:

But I did not find it funny. Not because there isn't a little humor in it. But because the Joy Vampires in society are sucking the fun out of every stinking thing they touch. Everyone is offended. Everything is offensive. Everything is racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic or otherwise insulting to any of 127 sexes/genders.
I can't tell you tired of it I am.
I also don't like stuff done like this, even as a joke, because I have zero doubt that some brain-dead section of society actually believes it.
Old fart rant over.
Its inexplicable isn't it? One possibility is the plans had attached pergolas or wings that were omitted as they were being constructed. Or originally had a different shaped wing, or less one, and they added a fourth.ABATTBQ11 said:
I just don't see how you don't see that on the plans though...
Maybe it's because diamonds between parallel lines make geometric shapes that can be connected in whichever way someone's twisted mind interprets them.ABATTBQ11 said:

Kurt EchinwaldQuote:
Yeah, I posted it b/c it's ridiculous. Who really cares about a garden renovation?
Quote:
Former New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald slammed first lady Melania Trump for renovating the White House Rose Garden saying on Saturday that he is "furious" she is "a foreigner," sparking pushback from other journalists.
"It is a destruction of our history, something no other First Lady would have had the gall to do," Eichenwald, a New York Times bestselling author, tweeted on Saturday, "This is the first time I have been furious that @FLOTUS is a foreigner. She has no right to wreck our history."
You know who else had gardens?Quote:
Nobody bothered to mention the fact that the garden also pays homage to the TAMU Corps of Cadets Cadet Colonel ( ) or the Dox Equis man.

Oops, that's what I get for doing this during work. If that's the case, then I see their point.AgGrad99 said:
I think they were referring to the swastika-looking building...rather than the garden.
Yes, we had a "sub-level" discussion going on about that building. Its absolutely baffling it if was constructed as-is post WW II. But was it? Or did it change over construction or time.B2Ag05 said:Oops, that's what I get for doing this during work. If that's the case, then I see their point.AgGrad99 said:

No worries. You're point's still valid though.B2Ag05 said:Oops, that's what I get for doing this during work. If that's the case, then I see their point.AgGrad99 said:
