Follow up to last week's post regarding the lack of reporting on Sturgis maskless gatherings in the middle of COVID-19.

At this point, who can take these mask mandates seriously?

We're being completely played by the mainstream media and mostly Democrat Governors who love the power that Covid fearporn has given them.

Meanwhile, in South Dakota, Sturgis just wrapped up and the only place I can find reporting on it is a local paper called the Argus Leader.

Shouldn't the mainstream media be on 24/7 warning people about their friends and neighbours who might ride motorcycles and might have attended this event?

So far, there's news about one case in one bar.

This will be the HQL version of the left. There will be hope that a wave of sick white folk will start getting sick in the next 2 weeks. When it doesn't happen they will have to settle for anecdotal evidence.

As for the maskless aspect, it'll take a week or so before any of the attendees start testing positive. It would be interesting to see the count of South Dakota cases over the next two weeks as all the locals would start testing positive assuming this was a mass spread event.

Exactly my point. The clientele at Sturgis are exactly the kind of folks who should be susceptible.

So, if by September 1st, they don't have 100,000 new COVID cases from Sturgis, I think the jig is up.

Of course then we'd have to focus on real issues.

The event started on Friday, August 7th - 11 days ago.
The super spreader - Smash Mouth concert was Sunday night the 9th, 9 days ago.

If the two weeks logic holds up, cases should start spiking in the next 3-5 days and we should have a massive outbreak of cases within the next 12 days.

There won't be a big wave of Covid infections from Sturgis, just like there wasn't one from the Memorial Day party at Lake of the Ozarks. These aren't 90 year olds in a nursing home, and I doubt many of the attendees had crippling illnesses that would make them unusually susceptible. Having a beer gut isn't going to cause a ****ing Covid death.

It's exponentially more dangerous to ride on a motorcycle to Sturgis than getting covid.

The only caveat I'll state is that to the extent somebody at Sturgis was a lifelong smoker with reduced lung capacity, THEN they might have reason for concern.
