Forget the coin shortage! I'm in Leadville, CO, and there isn't a canned diet Dr Pepper in this whole town. I had to buy the large plastic bottles. Is there really a shortage of Dr Pepper?
Aluminum for can making is in short supply

Glad I don't own Coinstar.

The explanation on vastly reduced cash circulation makes sense as a lot of cash and change type businesses were the ones shut down. Plus people are more afraid to handle cash and change. Now that people are more used to plastic or electronic, it may take a while to recover.
I blame public schools.

And the "contactless" exchange at most drive-throughs is laughably ruhtarded.

There is a convenience store in one neighboring town which has a sign saying something about a federal requirement to use exact change, if I remember correctly.

I went to the bank today to cash a check for over paid escrow. I got 3 five dollar bills in the cash. All three of them were taped together in the middle or on the sides. I asked the teller if that was normal. She showed the 20's and 10's in her drawer that were the same way. She said they are getting really ragged cash in. Don't know if it is related, but I found it weird.

Here is one of them.

I've got probably $500 in coins at home. I was planning to cash them in a while ago, but my bank's lobby has been closed for months so I'm just sitting on them for now. I'd love to get them back into circulation and out of my way.

Coworker of mine is not far off from the picture Rocky posted. He probably has 4-5 of those jugs full of coins.

Coin star unless you are averse to paying them their cut. We got $350 in coins on our last haul from my FIL's house. Now need to do my own coins but probably closer to $50.

if you would wear your mask, there wouldn't be a coin shortage, you giant mexican! ask Abbott.
Flew yet another time yesterday, from FL to SC, and had a mask on for a few hours. Wanted to shank a mother****er after about 4 minutes with that ineffective claptrap on.

All this terror over a bad cold. Jesus Cristo.
Should have repeatedly faked a sneeze

Dude in front of me sneezed. You'd have thought he just yelled "BOMB!" by some of the reactions by the tards around him.

I told him "Bless you!" and laughed lightly at the aforementioned tards.

We have a small washeteria on one of our properties so we always have lots of quarters but the commercial window was built for someone in a low to the ground sports car and the lobby has been closed forever. Decided to hang on to the quarters until they are worth 26 cents.

I have been traveling for work now, a LOT, and everywhere is basically short on change. It never made sense, but at least a smidgen of sense at the beginning could be argued. At this point, I have no idea why there is still a "shortage". Any ideas?

In Florida, WAWA (convenience stores) and a few other places, were offering special offers for $5 in change. Nothing Earth-shattering, but at least a plus if that was something you wanted.

In Charleston for a few more hours and even the hotel didn't have change to sell for their change-driven guest laundry.

This is all ****ing ******ed, especially the bank lobbies being closed...and I have close family at banks and they tell me the bull**** they put customers through (same bank as me) and I tell them it's overkill for a weakass virus.

I am not liked much right now, as my family is the exact opposite of me and would be the leading Karens on the CoronAids bored and I'm well, not. Especially over this overblown cold virus.

I paid for my meal at a mom & pop taco joint in quarters and they wrapped up a free taco for me!
