This is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever watched. I hope conservatives are watching this and are as motivated to vote against these *******s as much as I am.
Not watching. Is it worse than the Paul Wellstone Memorial?valvemonkey91 said:

John Lewis was one of the biggest proponents of the Get Out to Vote movement.
Can I ask what's wrong with encouraging voter turnout?
It's one-sided.That_Guy_Moose said:

Nothing. Nothing wrong with wearing a swimsuit either, or walking your dog or shooting off fireworks.Quote:

Why are we debasing a funeral with a political ad rally?
I don't think we particularly need more uninformed voters.That_Guy_Moose said:

It's clear I won't win the debate in this thread, but I've been at funerals where there was advocacy for better drug rehabilitation options. I think funerals are celebrations of people's lives and what they stood for, or for the lessons they teach.
John Lewis stood for the expansion of black voter rights. If people who believed in his cause want to continue that fight beyond his death, during the celebration of his life, I don't really see the major issue. It's not like they're standing up and interrupting his funeral to state their objective. They've been encouraging voter participation outside of his funeral.
At a funeral??? Good grief.That_Guy_Moose said:

I haven't personally seen that yet but if true I can concede that that is an overstep and against the spirit of Turn Out the Vote's mission, and not likely what John Lewis would have stood for.
How ridiculous is that...His party is trying to close the polling locations, in favor of mail-in ballots. What stupid circular reasoning.Quote:
Even as we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision, even undermining the postal service in the run up to an election. It's going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don't get sick

That's strange. I thought blacks had every right to vote as I do as a white man. I guess you don't think they are smart enough to vote. How very racist of you.That_Guy_Moose said:

John Lewis was a vile piece of scum.
I waited 7 days to post that thought, and I don't care that his burial is taking longer than that now. He was human vermin, happy to play the race card whenever he could to his advantage/profit, and I am glad he is dead.

Know how I know obama was raised without his father in the household? Because any father would have taught him the meaning of a funeral service and how only a low-brow asswipe would use a funeral for a racist diatribe campaign event. He is a low-life piece of *****
