Is the Sully statue like one of those statues from "Night of the Museum"?

Is the statue of A&M president Sully Ross going to come to life and be the Black ally he was in the post-Civil War era?

He definitely seemed like a threat to those who believed blacks should not get equal protection from violence and threats. Maybe Netta is worried the Sully statue will go after the BLM leaders since so much of what BLM has done has hurt blacks and other minorities.

So in other words, their request to hold the protest was denied by city/county officials. According to the Governor's orders, any event with more than 10 people has to have approval from either the mayor or county judge. Calling it a religious event is probably the only way to work around that.
