The strategy is to get all the "shutdown" until vaccine liberals on board with a Trump initiative or they prove they don't care about the virus.

FWIW, One painful side effect of terminal TDS is uncontrollable cynicism leading to outright paranoia.

When I saw the thread title I was hoping this would be an operation to get 15,000,000 off of unemployment by the end of the year.

All of this will end on November 3rd.

I am now convinced that the COVID shutdown, while initially being for safety purposes, has become a tool of the democrats and their friends/co-conspirators in the media to tank the economy to win the election. Nothing more.

Once the election is over there is no longer any reason to continue the pain.

Until then the dims will push for continued economic shutdown and the media will continue to try to scare the public into submission.

Yeah. I'm very pro vaccines, and I think we absolutely have to have one since there are lots of people, states, and even countries that won't fully open back up without one. But I can't imagine the number of corners that have to get cut to get this done.

I'm in bio pharma. From the day a manufacturing campaign is finished we take 6-9 months to release the product for human use. QA/QC is mind numbing, but we do a damn good job of it because we'd like to not kill the people we are trying to help.

You can speed a lot of things up with more money and more people, but condensing a 10 year process into 7 months would be an achievement on par with the moon landing.

There's also the subtraction by addition problem. If I'm working my ass off just to keep my head above water and meet my deadlines, many times giving me additional help is DETRIMENTAL. I now have to spend 50% of my time training the new guy.

So, you go from 1 worker at 100% efficiency to 1 worker at 50% efficiency and 1 worker at 0% efficiency...Subtraction by addition...

Go back and look at the results of fast tracked SARS vaccine human trials in 2004 and 2005. We dont have a vaccine for SARS for a reason.
