Just heard (on FNC) that Jordan, Meadows and Zeldin will be temporarily placed on Schiff's intel committee for the open hearings next week. Bringing the A team.

Bat signal went up that today was a very bad no good day for Dems on this thread. Extortion and bribery fiddle faddle is the dead giveaway.
I really just wanted to see some conservative viewpoints, this forum (at least what I can remember) was pretty level headed 10 years ago or so. Since most of my friends / family / colleagues / social media has already decided Trump's guilty I came here hoping to see some well thought out discussion from the conservative side, but there is no real argument here other than deep state / who cares / conspiracy / nothing burger.

Pretty big indictment of your friends / family / colleagues / social media.

They don't seem like a smart bunch. Probably had a lot of their time/interest/hopes invested in Mueller too.

Then you chose the wrong poster to castigate in that fashion. I don't flag people for personal attacks unless they get really out of line, so I won't flag you. Don't be surprised if you do get flagged though.

The tweets are piling up on Zaid. A few more get unearthed and he might just find himself being a fact witness in a conspiracy with Schiff, Ciaramella, Vindman, Eager and Taylor. Throw in Fiona Hill and Tim Morrison for good measure.
According to you and the other posters in the Deep State Coup, the conspiracy against Trump also includes:

Bob Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, Chris Wray, Jim Comey, Andy McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, President Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Loretta Lynch, Susan Rice, Bill Clinton, Sally Yates, Jeff Sessions, Bruce Ohr, Nan Ohr, Chris Steele, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, 4 FISC judges, Andrew Weissman, Glenn Simpson, the law firm Perkins Coie, computer security firm Crowdstrike, and a few dozen more current and former WH, FBI, DOJ, CIA, and State Dept. agents, officers, proscuting attorneys, and staffers.

That is a huge number of people. It all seems to be extremely unlikely.

But: if you ever produce proof of your alleged conspiracy, I look forward to seeing it.

To be honest I'm undecided. I'm a small business owner so I would prefer not to have my payroll taxes go up, but I also have customers getting hammered by tariffs and the GOP is doing nothing but increasing the debt exponentially.

Trump has proven nothing to me but incompetence over the last 3 years. His driving motivation just seems to be to stick it to the left. All of his policy "wins" could have been achieved by any of the other GOP candidates.

I'd honestly prefer a fiscally conservative candidate that doesn't get bogged down in silly moral debates. IMO we should spend more time talking about the debt and budget than where people take a piss.

You don't even understand extortion/bribery laws. Why should we waste time trying to explain a the counter-intelligence operation ran against the president?

One that completely fooled your dumbass into thinking Trump was a puppet of Putin.

Also you still can't argue in good faith and misrepresent the arguments of posters. I fixed your list above.

The basic argument is this.

Dems who are trying to "prove" a QPQ are wasting your time. Its not a crime, every single foreign aid package comes with strings attached.

Libs will claim this was extortion or bribery. But its neither because Trump did not receive a "thing of value" from Ukraine. (Campaign contributions, purchase of ads, or cold hard cash).

The president is completely within his power to pressure another country to comply with a DOJ investigation. The 2016 election aspect of this is largely ignored, but a few on here have admitted that part was legal. So there are legal quid pro quos.

They just don't think there was enough evidence to warrant opening an investigation into Joe Biden. But the president gets to set his own policy goals domestically on Justice (cough cough DACA). If Trump wants to go after political corruption. He can.

And the libs can impeach him for being political in his decisions, but he has committed no crime.

Extorting "something of value" is a crime, like promises to stay at Trump Hotels, or a contribution to Trumps non-profit. A criminal investigation doesn't meet the legal definition of "something of value".

"But but it helps Trump's reelection"

Every action the president takes, supposedly helps his reelection. Every foreign policy decision would be illegal. Trump getting Otto Wombier out of North Korea? Now a crime. "He was just doing it for the PR" Even though libs might not agree, there is an argument that an investigation into Joe Biden was in the national interest and within the legal power of President Trump.

Biden used legal power to "extort" Ukraine into firing their prosecutor. The thing that makes his situation messy and worth investigation is the fact his son was making 50k/month from a Ukrainian company. That would be the "something of value" for a crime to take place. As in, we hire your son for cash, and you help us pressure our government.

The GOP could have run a piece of poster board that said "lower taxes" and beat Hillary, instead we got Trump who will accomplish nothing but pushing moderates toward voting Democrat.
I have so much to say in reply to this but it's not worth the ban. I do wish TexAgs would add a dumbest post of the day section though. You'd win in a landslide.

While it's true that both parties have failed at reigning in the growth of the federal government, it's apples and Ferraris comparing what this administration has done and what Warren proposes to do.

We are talking about over 100 trillion dollars in dept. Nothing in this country's history is even remotely close to that.

Abortion - pro choice. Not for late term abortions unless medically necessary.
Illegals & Healthcare - as a blanket statement? No. Do I think that it might offset the drain on our system when they're treated for care on the tax payer dime? I'd need to see concrete plans that spelled that out for me to see it as a good idea.
Tax - Our current situation is non tenable. Something has to change. We've had higher taxes on the ultra wealthy in the past.
2A - all for responsible gun owners, would be in favor of licensing programs like some other countries.

So you aren't a conservative at all then. Just stop trying to lecture us on who we need to enact our values then.

Oh joy, another liberal who rarely if ever posts here decides to slink over from another part of the board to post the same crap we've already heard from our usual seminar posters.
If thinking Trump is guilty makes me a liberal then I guess you got me! busted...

If warren is the nominee do you vote for her or trump?

Wait a minute. You are worried about the dept but you are undecided about voting for a socialist who wants to add a 0 to said dept?

Ooookaaaaay.......
Neither party can claim fiscal responsibility.

The debt has ballooned under this administration, including an insane farm bill that is straight up socialism.

I guess honest answers don't really fly here? Just prefer to boil nuanced discussion down to left or right?

How about honestly answering a few questions then.

Are you for late term or partial birth abortion?
Do you think illegals should get free health care?
Do you want an open border?
Should there be a net worth tax?
So you believe in the 2nd amendment?

Thanks in advance for your honest answers.

Sounds like a concerned moderate to me

Saying I'm undecided between two bad options isn't dodging the question.

Okay just stop

You're overplaying the "Concerned Moderate" schtick way too much and it's not even a little believable

No conservative is actually entertaining the possibility of voting for any of the Marxists the Left is running
