Wha? This undercuts the defense that what Trump demanded of Ukraine --investigations of the Bidens and the DNC's Crowdstrike -- was done in the interests of the United States.
Rudy does it again. He got his whole foot inside his mouth.
Rudy is not conducive to twitter. He's not really conductive to interviews, either. I know what he was trying to say as most trial attorneys encounter twists and turns when working cases and conducting their own investigations. Hell, John Grisham and Scott Turow have made gazillions of dollars writing about fictional lawyers and their cases and those same twists and turns.
That is not intended as a defense of Rudy, though. He got out of his lane and he shouldn't have done that. As info came his way, just pass it onto Barr or Pompeo or both and tell Trump he'll leave it in their capable hands. If Trump pressed Rudy to do it himself, Rudy should have told him he couldn't. Work the case, gather the facts but stay out of foreign relations.
