Love Barr but he looks like Elton John.
Is it Elton John that sings that song that goes "Hold me closer Tony Danza"?
Trump and Barr vs. Democrats feels like the interaction between Schwartz and Flick.Doorbell said:agent-maroon said:dermdoc said:

Barr looks to me like what Ralphie from A Christmas Story would look like as a grown up.
Still putting the neighborhood dirtbags in their place.

Agree. Going into the election I believed Trump was as much an insider as Hillary. It wasn't until I saw how poorly the Reps responded to their unexpected win that I realized that he generally is an outsider and that the establishment is in fact more important than anything to these people. We just may find out that Obama, Hillary and McCain orchestrated this thing. For his part Obama will say he read about it in the news when the rest of us did and Hillary will say it's old news and makes no difference now. The media will buy it to protect their heroes which will leave us blaming the dead guy.Charpie said:

In an exceedingly rare type of post, I will actually sort of vindicate etcetera here. As much as he disdains the Mueller thread, he obviously reads it because Durham's name popped up months ago, right after Barr's confirmation. Although, other than Durham's extensive experience in prosecuting public officials for corruption was noted, it was still unclear exactly what Barr was tapping him for at the time.backintexas2013 said:30wedge said:loletcetera said:I will. When people pretend to have inside info you know they have jumped the shark.
War with Iran seems to be the first attempt at distraction.rausr said:

DGAF if they are D or R or I - there needs to be massive beat down with a wrecking ball in all levels of the government - from the basement to the top - to root out anybody that had anything to do with the massive corruption, attempted coup and subsequent cover up - to leave no doubt that the rule of law is supreme and nobody is above it - clerk, investigator, senior official, Secretary of State or President/ex-President.Layne Staley said:
We are watching a movie, or so Q Anon told me. I think I like the ending to this as MANY politicians are going down and rightfully so.
To this date the only major politician I'm aware of ever going down was Dennis Hastert who the globalist probably set up for success and failure in the first place being able to manipulate him with his pedophilia. Bunch more peds going to be outed when this is all over.
Agreed, he's still human.Mtn_Guide said:
Some of you need to tap the breaks on the Barr love affair. He isn't all roses.
Also, Durham's first mention was buried on page 37 of Baker's 150 page transcript from his testimony to the joint committee of congress on October 3rd, 2018 ... so Durham was already heavily involved before Barr arrived. Makes me wonder how much of the NYT article is retreaded news vs new news.aggiehawg said:

Now we know he has Durham set up with a taint team to do a parallel construction to avoid a Garrity* problem caused by IG Horowitz's report.
*Garrity is a case that protects federal employee who are compelled to cooperate with IG's or lose their jobs cannot have that evidence used against them in a criminal proceeding.
P.S. You're welcome, etcetera.
No, we didn't know exactly what Durham had been tasked with investigating at the time. We did note that he was apparently looking into some leaks out of the FBI and was looking at James Baker. Baker's attorney instructed him not to answer some questions because he was under investigation specifically and by name, John Durham.backintexas2013 said:
But in this role? I don't think anyone knew this. Even the NYT seemed caught off guard and had to circle the wagons. The Dems didn't even have the talking points ready. They all thought it was Huber doing this and basically doing nothing.
With the ***** slapping of Steele in the memo and then this it's taken a huge turn in the last week. That memo is not a good look for DOJ. (not even going to try and spell that name. )

Think these two will walk back their statement soon?Quote:
"John Durham is a fierce, fair prosecutor. As a career prosecutor, John has dedicated his life to public service and the pursuit of justice. He knows how to try tough cases, having taken on organized crime and government corruption. He will be an outstanding U.S. attorney," Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy said in a statement.

here is what is an absolute certainty.
When he's done with his investigation, he will either be a turncoat that ignored the law to benefit Trump OR another member of the deep state hell bent on covering up the malfeasance.
