Amusing, but inaccurate. Plowing doesn't kill but a small fraction of the animal population. Anything below about 4" is safe, anything able to move, will do so, and anything slow may or may not be harmed.

Broader point is correct, that no form of human activity is possible without some damage to some animal species. Also correct that animal rights activists focus on the cute animals, because it's easier to gin up outrage over a dead puppy than it is a dead mole rat

Small fraction or not, it is still killing some animals. I think that was more his point. I think some vegetarian and vegan think that vegetables are all completely 'cruelty free' as they say.

Of course I don't know how they reckon themselves with all the ants they kill when they walk.
