I was in the car with the satellite radio going. They did a test alert of the system and stated that another test would be going to all cell phones, but not all would receive it. The statement didn't make sense, but I took it to mean that maybe certain settings wouldn't allow it to go through.

Has anyone seen a credible explanation for why some did not receive?

nope. Some users were missed on all major carriers. Different reasons ... that's why they tested it.

I can't tell if that guy is serious or a parody account - his views are so over the top but also amazingly cavalier and easy to dismiss. Either comically dangerous or hysterically on point parody.

I was thinking about this this morning and what is lost on people is state sovereignty. It doesn't matter how many people live in the state, it's still intended to be a semi-sovereign entity.

Like China population voting to put laws and rules in place in Korea... it doesn't matter the number of people... Korea has sovereignty seperate from China.

In The United States, the state's are intended to maintain some sovereignty, at least that was the founders intention. That requires a senate, and requires an electoral college, it prevents the larger states from controlling the smaller ones. That's the intention.
