The writer of Hebrews lists David along with Gideon, Samuel and the prophets as men of faith (Heb. 11:32)

But the secret of David's faith, if there is one, is that he viewed the giant not through the eyes of the Israelites who feared him, but through the Lord's eyes.

Goliath may have been a giant among men, but not compared to the man who stands with God. David's God was big enough to dwarf even the largest giant.

Just goes to show the difference fear vs. faith can make. Goliath wasn't holding Saul and his army in check ... fear was.

How much of our own lives and what God wants to do thru us is held in check by fear? A wonderful wake up call for all of us.

How Big is God?

He's large enough to rule this mighty universe.
Yet small enough to live within my heart.
