Let one preacher mess up and everyone uses that as the ultimate excuse to quit church. Christianity is not religion. It is a one on one personal relationship with Jesus. I love Brother Jesse, don't always agree with Him but he ain't had anyone fly into any buildings killing innocent people in the name of god (small g god). Jesus said "if they aren't against us, they are for us" God choose Jesse just like He choose you. Jesus went to the cross so we can be heirs in God's kingdom. Jesus became poor so we might become rich. That is in all things...not just money. But, to the born again believer who accepts Jesus has their Lord and Savior, in heaven a mansion awaits you...not a shack...no debt...paid for...

The only problem with your thinking is a lack of emphasis on correct teaching. The Apostles put a very high premium on sound doctrine. Doctrine is the very thing many of the Martyrs spilt their blood defending. The vast majority of the NT letters from Paul either teach doctrine or correct bad doctrine from other false teachers.

Sound doctrine. Of Jesus or of men. Paul was talking about people coming into their church to take the message of Jesus Christ away and bring back religious works and appearances. Jesus made it very clear in Matthew 6:33. Jesus also said in the Lord's prayer..Matthew 6:10...that God's will done on earth as it is in Heaven. The message is clear but to stay on the straight and narrow. Messages through people tend to gravitate to the left or the right..but with true Godly doctrine delivered through the Holy Spirit is to stay centered. Don't put God in a box with the mind of man. God is able to do anything at anytime...without lying..He will not ever go back on His Word. Jesus did not come to keep you in bondage...He came to set the captives free...proverty is bondage...love and trust in money is bondage (the extreme sides). God wants us to have things...He gets the glory for it...BUT...God don't want the things to HAVE US.

What Jesse Duplatis and Joel Osteen preach are doctrines of man, not the LORD.

oklacityag75 - I would respectfully disagree that Christianity is between "Jesus and me". There is just too much other stuff in the Bible about loving thy neighbor. Most people would classify Christianity as a monotheistic religion.

I get your point, about the personal relationship with Jesus, but don't forget Jesus did begin a church on earth, and did warn us about false prophets coming in His name. Whether or not Jesse Duplantis or Joel Osteen are false prophets are for your discernment. I don't think they are priests in the line of Melchizedek, for sure.

Jesse preaches that he went to heaven and saw King David, Abraham, Jesus, and the Father. He has a physical description of each of them as well as a description of heaven.

His "I went to heaven tapes" are selling very well.

Just because someone speaks truth, at least a portion of the time, does that make them a mature, well balanced Christian of minister of the gospel? NO

This is just the beginning of the error of his theology. There is so much more. Buy hey, since people are being saved in his ministry, then he is not accountable to anyone for biblical doctrine or such. Afterall, I have never been to heaven. By the way, either he really went to heaven; is deceived and therefore, psychotic, or is a bold faced liar. And guess what, since the scripture is fairly silent on the actual setting of heaven, guess which one might be the most accurate?

Lone- How do we know this? If he is preaching heresy or BS, then how can anyone be saved by it?

If people are being saved, it is in spite of, not because of Jesse Duplantis.

Amen, but that's probably true of me, also.

Do a search under his name. His warped doctrine and greed knows no bounds, at least earthly bounds, don't forget; he has seen heaven.
