Zephaniah 3 17
The Lord your God is with you,
The Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you, in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing,
Shalom
I've noticed you use shalom a lot.
Is there a reason?
Why not just "peace". It captures the same fullness as shalom in the way Christian's use it today.
I am not anti Israel by a long mile. In fact I'm pro Isreal politically as I don't really consider their Jewishness in the equation or even see them as the same thing as ancient Israelites. Much less anti Jew in any other way than I don't agree with their faith. I'm equally neutral to them as when I meet a Hindu.
I struggle with the Jewish affinity (purely from a faith perspective) a lot of Protestants have.
I think any merging of Jewish practices could confuse new converts or blend the lines between two ENTIRELY different faiths. They are not compatible. No Jewish person thinks they are.
You're an American English speaking Christian. The use of shalom seems excessive and point making.
I mean that in the best possible way and curious why you choose to do so. It's not an attempt at being combative.
