Thanks. It's highly likely that the Catholic Mass and the Orthodox Divine liturgy are very different from anything you are familiar with in terms of what it means to "go to church."

The Mass and the Divine Liturgy are not church services. They are both liturgical and involve making present Christ's redemptive sacrifice on Calvary sacramentally and sacrificially such that the body and blood of the risen Christ is truly present. Clapping at the end of the Eucharistic Liturgy is entirely inappropriate.

Yeah I think we're just going to come at this completely differently. I have a few concerns, but they are larger in scope than this particular topic. Appreciate the response though.
