It's actually fairly non complicated which is kind of a novelty in Catholicism. Jesus Christ comes back to earth, vanquishes Satan once and for all, judges the living and the dead, and spirit is united with body and all the righteous dead will rise and the kingdom of heaven will reign everywhere.

That is what I believe also. I do not believe in the rapture.

The concept of the rapture was put forth by John Nelson Darby in the 1830's. To my knowledge, it was never discussed by the church fathers or the early church.

I am a born again Christian. No conversion to anything necessary.

It seems so simple to me. And I think a lot of Christians spend way too much time studying and worrying about the end times. Jesus rarely talked about it. He mainly talked about how to best live this life. Love God and your neighbor.

And everytime I see those pre, post, or amillinnelial charts, I fall asleep.

I think about how a big part of why Jesus was rejected the first time around is because he didn't meet Jewish expectations of the Messiah. Even John the Baptist reached a point where he was unsure if Jesus was who He said He was. It wasn't until after the Resurrection that eyes were opened to see how Jesus perfectly fulfilled OT prophecy.

I expect something similar at His second coming. There are a lot of people who think they have nailed down what things are going to look like when Jesus comes back, and I believe that carries the same danger it did the first time around.

Agree. I think it also shows a lack of trust in Jesus.

And Jesus never even told his disciples what the end times would be like except for a time of tribulation.

I dunno man; there was a simple fisherman to whom God revealed Jesus status as the Messiah, and he got his name changed for his trouble
