"The film contains murky moral values, plot developments requiring mature discernment and a couple of mild oaths. The OSV News classification is L limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. The Motion Picture Association rating is PG parental guidance suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children." - CatholicReview.org

Always interesting to see what Hollywood thinks of my religion :-)

From what I hear it's horrible in all the ways you would love it so enjoy.

Overwrought cliches.
Predictable predictability.
Soaked in the political tropes of the day.

Hard pass.

Here's a hint: Hollywood hates Holy Church.

Not planning on seeing so I read the wikipedia. What a plot twist at the end! No wonder it got 92% on rotten tomatoes.

*disappointed sigh*

If you're a fan of Britney Griner and her gender confusion, you might like this. But if you read any church sponsored movie review, I would think that you'd want to stay away. But to each his own...

I read the book. Ending was so disappointing and anti-Catholic. Don't waste your $

Thought the ending was a bit far fetched, given the politics that must go on behind closed doors.

I do think they captured the "sides" well. Both were shown to be ambitious and somewhat focused not so much on the mission- but concerned with ideological differences.

Ralph Finnes is an excellent actor.

This film will win a couple of cinematic and/or wardrobe awards- deservedly so.

Some well aimed lines about "doubt" "faith" and "certainty"- if you are a fan of religious themed movies, then I don't think this would disappoint. You may however need to suspend your disbelief a bit more than usual given the nature of the ending.

I'd give it a thumbs up.
