I was watching a Q and A with Ajahn Sona from the Birken Forest Monastery in Canada. He's really fantastic. He referenced work from Ian Stevenson from Univeristy of Virginia. I understand he did a lot of studies on reincarnation and found children can have vivid memories prior to 6 years old.

Anyone here read his stuff? Does anyone know anyone with past life experiences or had one themselves?

For me, the thing that raises skepticism is that everybody who claims to have had a "past life" was someone famous. If their past life was as some random milkman, it would be more believable.

Since the usual suspects haven't chimed in- for Christians, reincarnation relegates the body into a replaceable vessel that denies the resurrection.

The idea that one can achieve perfection through a series of rebirths would mean that the sacrifice that Jesus endured - was meaningless.

Count me out.

That may be the popular view, the ones we hear about but I believe it's not that common.
