The current "rumors" likely started from an AMERICAN black woman (not a Haitian) who reportedly ate a cat in another city entirely. Even though the Springfield PD has said there have been no credible reports of this happening, people still run with it.

But it's the same deal as with the immigrant who killed the kid in a car wreck. It's all meant to rile up hate toward immigrants, except most of these immigrants are legal. It's pure racism, plain and simple.
