I love Tom Pennington, but I don't agree with his eschatology. Satan is the "god of this world", or the strongman if you will.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The good news is that Jesus is stronger than Satan, and in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection he bound Satan.

Matthew 12:26-29
26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

The even better news is that he uses us here today in that binding. Yes Satan will be loosed at the end, and we can't know when that will happen. Until then he is bound.

Luke 10:17-18
17 The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!" 18 And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Need to give this a listen. Most of my Jiu Jitsu gym goes to Counteyside and speak very highly of Tom.

Tom Pennington is great and he comes from the lineage of John MacArthur. They are both dispensationalists. I love most of what they preach, but definitely not on board with their eschatology and all that entails.

This seems more of an end time sermon rather than the simple Gospel.
