Seems like a pretty one-sided article

Olson may have more to do with that being one sided than any reporter/editor could have. Seems the NCR sees it in a similar light.

Disappointing, the whole thing is.
It is difficult to write as if I was in your presence. However, it is a necessary skill. Communication should be full of smiles, respect, and a desire to relate. If you cannot relate to me, and I to you, there is little chance of us positively influencing each other.

Opinions differ. I've heard both camps. The topic of Bishop Olson has come up here before. Some love him, some don't

But this is a hit piece

Strangely, this edition ended up in my mailbox... Guessing a mystery gift subscription... yet I'm in Florida and don't pay much attention to politics back home. Haven't cracked it open yet.

You may be right. It could be. Wouldn't surprise me. To be fair though, I really don't have an opinion of which to differ.

I've never heard of Olson prior to this. I guess my head is in the sand.

I appreciate you mentioning there is another side to this story. If you could share, it would be useful and I would be much obliged.

Bp. Olson is a great man, priest and pastor. That being said, his efforts to restore orthodoxy and tamp out bad liturgical practices in the diocese have led to a lot of bad PR.

It's not that he shoots himself in the foot - it's that he keeps pulling the trigger.

He needs a good PR man to help him.

It's not like they're talking to people who are ex-Catholics or outside the Church or even outside the diocese. These are Catholics in the diocese. I mean, maybe he's just an *******.

Be honest, how many times has Michael Voris tried to text you shirtless pics?

Haha. If Sapper and Serna are against him, he's probably OK

I have no dog in this hunt, I read the article and looked around a bit at what was written. The bishop does come off as an ass, even by his defenders.

Yeah, that Church Militant is in shambles is relevant. Their crusades against the SSPX turned up nothing. The manner in which they went after others in the Fr. Jackson scandal was appalling. They veered off course and the narcissism of some caused a shipwreck.

I know not what Voris did to get canned nor do I care to know. May he find forgiveness and live a life full of prayer and penance.
