I love it. And so does Mrs.Derm.

Back in the late 70's-early 80's there was a dive bar named Clair's near the corner of Augusta and Westheimer in Houston. Used egg cartons for the ceiling.

Juke box was country gold and had Stand by your man on there twice.

What about this one, which essentially is Ecclesiastes chapter 3?
1965 …save only "peace, I swear it's not too late" naivete…

More frequently in 1960's cut flower culture than today, the truth pops up on occasion…even for Bob Dylan.

Every grain of sand is a Biblical reference as well as the mention of how God has numbered the hairs on our head.

Too bad he couldn't resist Marxism, agnostic, and secular coercion…

Prayers sent for Bob Dylan. What a great writer. It doesn't simply matter how much you know. It's not like God is going to make us recite the Heidelberg Catechism for entry into heaven. Dylan has been outside of the household of God and tried to white knuckle himself into morality, which simply has led to his death. Hopefully, there is a public confession coming up by him. And quite possibly never was made alive, but tasted of the heavenly gift?

I think Dylan has done some great gospel songs. I don't know his heart, only God does. I do hope, as he said in the late 70's, that he did accept Christ as his savior. We all struggle. I mean if I judged some politicians by their immoral actions, I could never consider them Christians and worthy of voting for.

But regardless, I do think God puts people on earth that speak His truth through various means. Like when you hear a song that touches your heart and makes you rejoice in God, even if you no nothing about the singer.

Look at Black Sabbath's song 'After Forever'.

That is great insight. I'm not saying that he is completely untethered. I do love his song "The times are achangin."
You get a foretaste of the divine from it similar way to when you hear Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech.

A classic. Via a music genre originating from the void. Trust me on this one.

Yes sir. For the sexual revolution was blinding indeed.

Now Bob Dylan stated that he was jot an hippie. He claimed he was of the beatnik mode. One of my favorites from the 60's cut flower culture and music to which derived itself from the church and from belief.

I recall listening to my friends sister's copy of the original Beetles album that had just come out. Must have been around 7 yo at the time. Liked her Dave Clark 5 album more.

I had no idea that was a bible verse. I just thought it was the song.

Yeah. Most of the entire song is Ecclesiastes Chapter 3.

In a little hilltop village, they gambled for my clothes
I bargained for salvation and she gave me a lethal dose
I offered up my innocence I got repaid with scorn
Come in, she said
I'll give ya shelter from the storm

Who am i to question a mans salvation that penned those words
