I guess God said no to that!

Why would it matter if Jews had a temple again?

I had read the story from at least one of those sources, but didn't know there we so many accounts of it. Thanks for posting.

Because like 95% of Catholic history is "Don't let the Jews have nice things."

My guess is that when Antichrist comes, Jews will think it is the first coming of Messiah, Muslims will think he is the 12 imam, and ecumenical Christians will be so happy to COEXIST. He will be able to unify the major world religions...for a time. A Jewish temple will help with this.

Jess is entitled to his opinion. But given that the Al Asqa mosque is on the Holy of Holies, a new Temple won't unify much.

In Catholic theology, the temple was already rebuilt in 33 AD, per John 2:19...

Ummm, that's not a special idea. John literally explains it.

Okay. But why would you care if Jews rebuild the Temple?

Also, there was already a Temple in 33 CE.

It would be a big deal in that the Biblical Hebrew religion went extinct in 70AD when Rome sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the temple. No temple + no priesthood + no sacrifice = no Biblical Hebrew religion.

A rebuild of the physical building of the temple would theoretically allow that to resume. Which leads to all sorts of theological questions and discussion…
The flames of the Imperium burn brightly in the hearts of men repulsed by degenerate modernity. Souls aflame with love of goodness, truth, beauty, justice, and order.

Yeah, a person that could bring all the religions and peoples of the world to live together in peace and harmony certainly sounds like a terrible monster. Sort of thing to give you nightmares

From a theological perspective, why did it matter that it was destroyed in the first place?
