I find the slogans and structures of Middle Age Knights a more masculine grasp of the faith.

All Men Die but Not all men Live - William Wallace

Could the words and inspiration of the middle ages and other knights, bring masculinity back to Christianity?

There is no evidence that he ever said this.

"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
-Jesus of Nazareth

Can't be more masculine than the true God and true man.

Regardless of my personal thoughts on war, I always found this quote from Stanley Hauerwas haunting....

"Yoder convinced me that if there is anything to this Christian "stuff," it must surely involve the conviction that the Son would rather die on the cross than for the world to be redeemed by violence."

War and violence or even "masculinity" was never part of Christianity. Never had been. Never will be.

ROBERT SPENCER: How the Byzantines Saved Civilization. "If they had not stood as a bulwark between Western Europe and Islam for all those centuries, the jihadis would certainly have swept over all of Europe, and the civilization that gave the world ideas that are now widely considered to be universal truths, such as the dignity of the human person, the equality of rights of all people before the law, the freedom of speech and more, would never have arisen."

It sure would be nice if our current elites still believed in those things.

Luke 22:35-38 (ESV)

{35 And he said to them, "When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing." 36 He said to them, "But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors.' For what is written about me has its fulfillment." 38 And they said, "Look, Lord, here are two swords." And he said to them, "It is enough."}

The words of Jesus of Nazareth.
Self-defense and survival are not prohibited by Jesus himself.
Go buy a sword, he says.

That's right!

The Moslems were attacking Europe for centuries and Christians did something about that in the Crusades.

War is never preferable. For we do pray our enemies would love God, equity, and respect our independence.

If you cannot handle and pacifism becomes the standard for the Christian, then we will never be able to stand up against Chinese atheists or whatever mysticism they hold to, nor against the dominate Moslems of Iran and Saudi Arabia Totalitarian backers.

We have a common enemy with Israel, namely Islam.
Deal with it. Reality.

"As Governor of my country, I have been an enemy to its enemies; I have slain the English; I have mortally opposed the English King; I have stormed and taken the towns and castles which he unjustly claimed as his own."

William Wallace
