Yes and no. I'm in the process of coming back to the faith
Any advice I might have for you would be based on personal experience after 57 years of life. That experience tells me to encourage you to study/pray/act in a way that seeks to align your choices/behavior/overall approach to life with God's will and of course that begs the question "how do I know what God's will is for my life?" Have you ever thought about the proposition that the path to being truly content and living a life of authentic peace, freedom and joy is by aligning your life with God's plan and purpose for you?
Let's start with that. What are your thoughts about the role of God's will in your life? Do you believe that you were created by God for his purposes? Why or why not?
Once you have studied and prayed about that, then I would encourage you to study and pray about how you can discern what God's will for you might be.
I'm a Catholic so my go to is to study and pray about how I should understand God's will by reading scripture and other sources such as the church fathers and other more contemporary sources to help form how I think about God's will. I also have learned to try and listen for God's "voice" and how it might manifest itself to me. This takes time and discipline and a real commitment. Are there impediments in your life that are blocking the grace God wants to give you? Some sober self-examination of your life and your relationship with God is called for here, including confession and genuine repentance.
As I learned more about how God's will works in my life, I started thinking more about how I might be able to understand my role in trying to align my small and big choices (tactical) and overall direction (strategic) with God's will.
Eventually, you will come to a point where you will have to accept or reject that the only way to truly live your life in a way that is conformed to God's plan and purpose for you AND a huge part of this is whether you are willing to submit/surrender and give up the lie of "control."
If any of that resonates with you I would be happy to share more or just engage in a conversation about this and share more.
