With His help anything is truly possible. It is a limited series at this time with more episodes in the works.

I'm tired of being on the sidelines.

Can you give us a bit of a rundown about you, your faith perspective, theological understanding and what the show is about and what you are trying to accomplish?

Sure thing.

I was raised as a Roman Catholic and as an adult I realized that God was much bigger than the Catholic box I was trying to squeeze Him into. I consider myself a nondenominational Christian now and I believe in Jesus Christ, His life, death, and resurrection.

The mission of the podcast is to bring hope in Jesus to the listener and to reinforce or restore faith in Jesus.

The podcast is a true story testimony about what happened when I showed the Prince of Peace, painted by Akiane Kramaric, to a complete stranger in an act of faith.

Edit for clarity: The name of the podcast is Jesus Is For Real Podcast and is available on all podcasting platforms.

Genuinely curious. How has your experience outside of the Catholic Church made God bigger?

I'm not Catholic so I'm not playing a gotcha game.

I'm Orthodox but tend to find American Protestantism to be very reductionist and would love to hear your perspective about your growth.

I believe that Jesus came for all of us and that He sent His Holy Spirit to all who are open to receive Him. I believe that God places breadcrumbs in our path when we deny ourselves to our own will and seek His will for us. That is exactly what I did when I decided to create this podcast. I prayed for His will to be done in my life and I searched for Him with all of my heart and soul and I found His breadcrumbs and picked them up and found Him. I made a podcast about my experience because this message of hope is for everyone.

Not disagreeing with what you wrote here, but that isn't really an answer to his question.

I would really like to keep this thread about the podcast and I will be happy to answer any questions about the podcast you might have.

I certainly don't mean to make you uncomfortable. You are very brave to put yourself out publicly and I think there are hard questions you should be comfortable asking as they will come your way. You won't be able to satisfy everyone and I understand that but you should be comfortable and telling people what you are.

Your show cannot be for everyone and that's ok.

I think that your mindset and your perspective is a valid question regarding your podcast.

I personally ask because in today's world, there are a lot of crazy thoughts and opinions that some people don't even realize are crazy, thoughts and opinions. There is also an extremely anti-Catholic vibe (to outright vitriol) with many Protestant denominations that I don't care to be part of.

I am Orthodox myself but don't care to get into that or be polluted spiritually with it. I am able to spiritually pollute myself more than enough:-(

If I go anywhere looking for spiritual guidance, etc. I want to know who I'm talking to.

That said, in the spirit of Mark 9:38-40 I wish you the best of luck.

I am certainly not anti Catholic, in fact my parents are practicing Catholics and I pray the Rosary. Is there something about my faith keeping you from listening? That said my podcast is only an hour long or so. Would you mind listening and let me know what you think about the message? I'm happy for your honest feedback about the message. Note that I'm not a podcaster and I had to teach myself how to do the sound editing and I hate the sound of my voice. Early on I realized that this wasn't about me and I had to get over that.

Side note: Akiane Krameric painted Prince of Peace at age 8 and she was born into a atheist and agnostic family.

Yes, I will give it a listen. Thanks for the follow up.

Edit after listening a bit:

Listened to first couple episodes. It's interesting because it is short and it makes you go do a little bit of outside research.

I like the concept of the podcast in the sense that you are seeking world world, tangible verification of Christ.

I would not stress about your voice. It's as good or better than 90% of the podcast out there.

Thank you for the feedback, it is much appreciated!

Have you had a chance to listen to episodes 3 and 4? These are the most impactful episodes as ep.1 & 2 are back stories only. I say "only" but the back stories are connected to the main story line as you will find out. All the dots connect.

This podcast has already had an impact in my inner circle. All glory to Jesus!

I listened to all four podcast. You did a great job!

PROS:
1. Very well presented. Great choice of thematic music.
2. Using the original "field recordings" gave it a real sense of authenticity, not unlike a true crime type feel.
3. Use of original broadcast of Colton was effective and hearing it in his own voice was a plus.
4. I liked your commentary and you raise some very good questions.
5. They were short and effective. Some podcasts can run long.
6. Your build up was effective. I was looking forward to the next episode.

COMMENTS:
1. A little light on any theological reflection. Maybe some "expert" can weigh in on how God works in mysterious ways or what God has revealed to the lowly kind of thing - to bring it back down. Love how God has chosen these 3 kids to spread the good news. Reminds me of the 3 kids at Fatima. I saw the movie as kid and never forgot how incredible the miracle of the sun was and witnessed by thousands.

2. I know the mom said she was a nurse and attempted to explain how, "he should be dead or a vegetable" - but again some "expert" to explain what happens when a person dies briefly or has a near death experience makes what happened to them even more miraculous.

3. While it is incredible what happened to them and how your encounter with that gentleman led to these other events- what about the majority of us who believe without ever seeing the hand of God? This is where I think good reflection on scripture can help bridge that gap.

I had a dream in my 20s about a post apocalyptic desert/mountain type setting in which I saw what appeared to be circuitry with bright lights moving along a path. There were countless number of these "dots" of lights moving back and forth as if they were like people walking in the streets of New York. As I began to scan left and right, I saw the figure of a human fully lit up and connected to all of these circuitry lines.

When I saw this painting, it reminded me of that dream.

Pablo, thank you for listening and giving me excellent feedback. I hope this podcast brought you hope! I will do my best to respond to your comments, if that is ok.

1. I left it light on theology on purpose. I didn't want the podcast to be about that as there are other podcasts full of scriptural knowledge and I am really a lightweight when it comes to theology anyway. I am hoping this podcast will help those who are Jesus curious/Jesus skeptics to make a decision. I would really love for a mathematician to calculate the odds of how this story unfolded. Numbers don't lie. I agree with what you said about how God uses children to spread His good news, especially with Akiane's background being brought up in an atheist and agnostic family.

2. I think the mothers' background as a nurse in training at the time of the incident provided enough credibility for the listener to validate what she was experiencing in real time although an NDE expert would be pretty cool.

3. This is a great question! To those Christians who believe without seeing the hand of God I would say with complete certainty as I did with the first man Brian, would you like to know what Jesus actually looks like? It is amazing to know the face of who I pray to, who I follow, and who I love. Jesus clearly wants us to know Him completely including what He looks like. Well, here He is! Again, the mathematical odds of this unfolding the way it did are too astronomical to attribute to mere coincidence. I believe the Holy Spirit will convict the hearts of those who listen, that thankfully is not my job. He who has ears, let him hear!

Thank you again Pablo for listening and for providing excellent feedback.

I hope my fellow Ags will have a listen and "see" for yourself.

Also, I am planning on interviewing Bryce in person for the 5th episode. I will have to make my way back to Eastland county but I'm looking forward to it.

What questions do you all think I should I ask him?
