I am curious if any have seen their church increase their security over the last couple of years. Have you also seen an increase in members conceal carry when there are no professional security staff employed? I would guess most churches are not large enough to be able to afford hired security. Has your church been active in addressing this? I am curious how other churches will respond to the changing culture.

My church has an incredible volunteer safety team. Several of them have been trained as personal protection officers through gate keepers. They're not just good ol boys carrying weapons. Some of the members are medical personnel. Lots of former military. One of the benefits is that it has given some men in our church places to serve according to gifting. Usually it's easy to find a place to serve if you teach or sing. Now these guys have a place where they can make a difference. It's beautiful.
