He did. I imagine he's still politically left, but some of the views he expresses in the video would make him a "right-wing" Catholic on matters of liturgy.

It seems very much like a genuine conversion. It's been a bit in the making too. My wife and I watched a video of him with the Capuchin monks about a year back, and I can't remember if it was one of us or a commentator on the video, but someone said "this is the kind of story that gets updated in a couple years with the actor having converted"

I'd be more worried about burnout or this being a fad for him than it being a publicity stunt. I pray for his sake that it's genuine and led him to peace.

Agree on all counts. As you stated, his conversation seemed very genuine and very intense. I think the peace he has found surrounding himself around Christ instead of his ego has been a profound paradigm shift. That feeling of love is not something many people can turn their back on. I too pray he continues on his spiritual journey.

We need to pray for him. He will have a big spiritual target on his back.

His religious beliefs aside, I've wondered whether his public persona was just a character or if he actually was a bit nuts. Maybe a little of both I suppose.

Let's hope he's turned over a new leaf and is no longer a huge jerk (that's putting in mildly).

Language is raw, but I'm really intrigued by his story and faith journey. I hope it's a genuine life change for him. He'd really have a great story to tell and influence others for the better.

This guy talks (and even looks) a lot like a guy I once knew. Still a lot of arrogance there.
