Cultural Marxism is a revolutionary leftist idea that traditional culture is the source of oppression in the modern world. Cultural Marxism is often linked to an insistence upon political correctness, multiculturalism, and perpetual attacks on the foundations of culture: the nuclear family, marriage, patriotism, traditional morality, law and order, etc.

Propaganda like this film is deplorable, destructive to culture and should be roundly condemned by the left and the right. No healing or common ground can be found when lies and crude resentments like these are passed off as legitimate messages in art and culture.

The fact that it is produced by a cultural institution like Netflix and then not roundly condemned by public opinion is because of the double standard the left enjoys. They produce filth that is approved for dissemination amongst mainstream media without controversy whereas all messaging from the right is dismissed as controversial and as mere conspiracy theorizing.

Here's your proof of the double standard. Enjoy watching the killing of the white patriarchy on Netflix tonight.

I re-read the OP using this method. It was much more enjoyable.

I kind of assumed Cultural Marxism was just a made up word soup meant to fire up the MAGA crowd on any bit of pop culture they didn't like. (Like an intellectually sounding version of woke)

Sadly after 30 seconds on Google I find that it's, of course, much worse:

I hate cultural marxism and CRT (and know the proper use of both terms.) This is a story VERY LOOSELY based on real people. The good guy is black. The bad guy is black.

It seems to be one of those things the right is convinced the left is furious about but the consensus on literally every liberal forum I read is that it's dumb and childish.

I strongly oppose Biden. I think he is a wicked wicked man.

However I also strongly oppose the f joe Biden lets go Brandon chants. When it comes to authority over me I disagree with I always try to emulated David's response with Saul. Saul is actively seeking to kill David. David has the chance to kill Saul twice and doesn't. Not out of respect of Saul but out of respect of Gods sovereignty over the authority over Israel.

So despite my personal and political feelings toward any American authority I try to view it through that lens. Now that doesn't exclude disagreeing and voicing that disagreement but that comes with a level of respect due. Not to the person but to God who is sovereign.

Just my two cents on the whole chant thing.

Also, be glad it's just harmless revenge fantasy like Django Unchained and the like. Because let's be honest, the marginalized groups in America have been screwed over royally for centuries, and that's not even the kicker. Not only has unspeakable evil been done to the black and native Americans for centuries, no one was ever punished for any of it. The slave owners kept their land and turned their slaves into underpaid employees. The Jim Crow era politicians got to keep their money and jobs until they died. The prospectors, military, and politicians that double dealed the native Americans and basicallly committed genocide also got off scot-free.

Now let's compare and contrast similar situations. After the Holocaust, the new state of Israel formed a task force to specifically hunt down and kill Nazis that had escaped justice. They are even still arresting old Nazis and punishing companies that profited. During WW1 the Ottoman Empire committed genocide of the Armenians. The scattered and nearly extinguished Armenians put together a political hit squad and assassinated major figures that had orchestrated the genocide. We see these horrifically traumatized people taking revenge and nod in satisfaction. Many people cheer these acts as heroic justice.

Now imagine that equally heinous acts had happened to your people and everyone in the entire world knows it. No one has ever been punished and no one ever will be. The people who committed the worst crimes are all dead as are their victims. But there are people who have committed oppression that are still alive, as are people that have been oppressed. The historical comparisons are terrorism, assassination, and revenge. We should all be incredibly grateful that the worst we're suffering is mostly peaceful protests, cancel culture and Hollywood revenge fantasies.

Aborted babies won't have justice in this life either. Vengeance belongs to the Lord.

I was just playfully poking, but no, there's no difference between killing unborn babies and killing infants. Oh, and I've read scripture. I just reject your depiction of a monster God.

But I'm not a moral relativist so...

An eternal resting place of a departed in way justifies the mistreatment of that individual whileno they are alive. I believe every child that dies would go to heaven. In no way would I be ok with their murder.

Why infants deserved to be slaughtered? Yeah, again, I reject your moral relativism and belief in a monster God.

Due to how great heaven is and how terrible it would be to denied entrance: If given the choice between being aborted (no matter how terrible) and being guaranteed entrance to heaven vs being born having even the slightest chance of not being saved, the only compassionate choice is abortion.

It's a flipped version of Pascal's wager but it's just as valid ( which is to say not at all).
