The first thing I thought of was the Water of Life church service they broadcast on cable.

I've never actually heard a sermon but they have a long ender(?) to the service where the members dance around in a circle.

Honestly, I know that dancing is a valid expression of worship. It is multiple places in the OT.

However, I have been in several churches that have 'dance ministeries,' and honestly, they are, at least to me, more distracting than anything, and since some of the 'artistry' and even, dare I say it, physicality of the whole thing, is questionable and downright funny, I find the entire event less than edifying.

I cannot speak for all churches but I do know that Baptists don't make love standing up because people will think they are dancing.

That's an argument against dancing, singing, music, smiling, and wearing suits all rolled into one.

Is this church trying to reach out to the gay demographic? Get a couple more guys dancing like that on stage....
