just please...avoid preceding the word Bonfire with the word Aggie.

Why?

Were not going to influence student bonfire in any manner. How is it going to be bad. Lets face it, we know the ban on calling it "aggie bonfire" is a technicality to avoid the legal fist fight with the university. What are they going to do, analyze the film, run our faces through a database of id photos, then hunt us down to file individual lawsuits and/or to grill us as to wether SBA put us up to it?

If this is a new legacy being worked on like I've heard many a time here, then some of the old skin needs to be shed. Especially on a national scale, I would say the majority of the nation's only exposure to Aggie Bonfire, if they have any at all, is what they got in 99 and what they heard following.

but what if "Aggie Bonfire" carries some baggage that SB isn't fit to bear? Or that SB doesn't deserve to put it better.

Just all the problems that SB has shook and continues to work hard to shake that remain from the past Bonfire(s). Like the alcohol and safety emphasis as well as making solid efforts to say they will operate within the law.

Too many people still have the image in their mind of the old Bonfire.
