Hey y'all, I wrote a detailed piece on the Bonfire Memorial and of Bonfire's history previous to 1999. I attempted to cover much on what makes Bonfire and the current Bonfire Memorial so very significant to Aggies everywhere. Most importantly, I tried to highlight that it not only stands for the fallen and injured of 1999, but for all Bonfire history and the three Aggies who had died previous to 1999.
I hope that you will take a read and pass it on to others: http://goo.gl/9tXDg8
FYI, Student Bonfire was not directly mentioned in the article, but most information was left open ended to encourage readers to research more about the previous on-campus campus bonfires and the current off-campus student bonfires.
"As long as the Aggie Bonfire Memorial stands to the test of time, so too will the stories and history it wishes to tell. The fire of the Aggie Spirit continues to flame with each who visit this special place."
Thanks and Gig 'Em.
