In case y'all missed the thread on the football board, TAMU has scheduled the LSU Midnight [sic] Yell Practice for 8:00 PM on November 26. The same time as Student Bonfire's Burn. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it certainly smells like a deliberate attempt to discourage attendance at Burn.

Now, if neither of these two events gets rescheduled, I'd have no problem forgoing Yell in order to attend Burn, but the CTs -- who earned Centerpole this year -- won't have that choice.

It's absolutely a chicken **** move.

Who the **** is in charge at our university?

You know, maybe they could change Midnight Yell back to midnight? Maybe that makes too much sense. I'll be skipping that to watch burn if its the case.

The team always attended yell before the Texas game regardless of whether the game was on Thursday, Friday, or even the rare occasions when it was Saturday.

The question I have is why are we having an 8:00 yell practice for LSU an why would the Student Bonfire people be expected to anticipate that?

Ah, I wondered why I hadn't heard about the conflict until this week. SB has been advertising the November 26 burn date for months.

Yell Practice before a Thanksgiving game has been at 8 pm regularly, if I remember correctly. Seems like Student Bonfire should have known this and planned accordingly.

In case ya'll missed the threads on the other boards (linked above), Bonfire did do their research, coordination, and planning, and took outside input well in advance. The result of which is a date and time that has been finalized and promoted since January. I'm really kind of surprised at how many times that has to repeated verbatim and still, here we are.

Or the yell leaders were on the side of SB and found a reason that wasn't burn to reschedule.
