I'll let someone else estimate crowd size; I can't remember and am bad at estimating crowds. Here's what I have to say, though.
Unfortunately, no.
Stack is 45 feet tall. All logs touch the ground, and are cut to maintain the "tier" look Bonfire has enjoyed for several decades. There are roughly 2,000 logs each year in Stack.
As a Tradition that builds Aggies, yes, that's still there. The sweat and hard work are still there too, and thus so are the bonds made between Aggies. We're still working on the turn out of Old Army to burn, but the level of pomp with Burn isn't what makes Bonfire what it is.

4. Is it getting close to being the Bonfire of old with the exception of not being located on campus?
