I would be amazed if something like this was produced or re-released from the University now. It seems like the official TAMU stance regarding Bonfire now is that all it caused was injury and death.

The copyright date shown at the end of the video is 2009. That's not too long ago, and I see no reason why this video couldn't be made today.

Nor do I see how The Burning Desire deviates from "the official TAMU stance" as you put it. What it says about Bonfire mostly is focused on the injury and death from 1999. Sure, there's a couple of minutes of footage from Burn in 1998, but that's merely background for the 1999 Collapse.
