Howdy Aggies,

What do the organizers of the Student Bonfire organization see for Student Bonfire ion the future? Do they honestly see Texas A&M recognizing it or will they always discourage it? Do those involved with Student Bonfire see it growing year after year?

Interesting user name for a first time poster. Would you mind if I were to ask about your curiosity in the matter?

And to your questions:
- Bonfire leadership makes a point to avoid posting on TexAgs, so your question may have to addressed to them directly.

- The organization has publicly and repeatedly reaffirmed that it is not associated with TAMU and that they are fine with the separation, it allows for a more true to form experience for participants.

- The future is always uncertain but so long as there are Aggies who care about Bonfire, it will get built one way or another. (A personal aside, my opinion would be that if the move to the SEC didn't dissolve the organization, then nothing will. I believe last year was one of the most successful and highly attended off campus Bonfires to date)

I'd only like to add that SB has been growing steadily for a decade. It seems that a lot of people not directly involved think that SB is "struggling" or the like because we aren't as massive as pre-Collapse. Rome wasn't built in a day, and Jerusalem wasn't rebuilt too quickly either.

Agree with HedleyLamar. A better point of reference would be 2002 (Unity Project, with about 200 participants). Or for that matter, 2000 and 2001 when we had no Bonfire at all.

Yes, interesting username, the old two must not work that well anymore.....
