Hey guys...I wanted to pass along some exciting news! Dion McInnis and the fine people with Aggie Student Bonfire have connected with me in recent weeks and we have booked an hour on TexAgs Radio for those guys to come in-studio to spend an hour talking about the off-campus Bonfire. We have this special feature booked for Thursday, August 23 from 10-11 a.m. We'll talk about the history of moving off-campus, how it's run and where it's headed in the future.
Here are the names and titles of the young men that will join me on August 23:
- Patrick Bailey, '13 - Senior Red Pot, Head Stack
- Eric Menn, '13 - Senior Red Pot, Truck
- Scott Coker, '92 - Yellow Pot, 1991; Chairman, Board of Directors
- Dion McInnis, '03 - Head Stack, 2003-2004; Member, Board of Directors
In addition, former A&M head coach Jackie Sherrill - a longtime champion for the Bonfire tradition - will come on the show for a segment to talk about his renewed involvement with Aggie Bonfire (more details on that to come)!
Here's a message from Dion McInnis, board member for Student Bonfire and Class of 2003:

"As the Aggies move into a new era, in a new conference, with new (and old) rivalries, Bonfire-building Aggies are as motivated as ever to bring the Aggie family another Bonfire in 2012. Student Bonfire looks forward to joining TexAgs with our good friend Coach Jackie Sherrill to talk Bonfire 2012 and beyond."
