Why did Student Bonfire burn on Saturday night instead of Tuesday night? Just curious.

Bonfire never seemed to have a problem drawing a crowd on the traditional night before for home games, 2 nights before for away games. Was it different for the off-campus one?

To allow out of towners the opportunity to come down. Lot more logistical issues when it is off campus, rather than on campus.

Well, that makes sense. It just confused me. I looked online, saw it had burned and thought - doh- I missed it again. It's just a different rythm for oldtimers like me... I'll have to adjust.

They also have tried to avoid any conflict with the yell practice that the school thinks replaces bonfire.
