Ok I was reading on the thread about the Bonfire charm and they were talking about bonfire products being difficult to find and the reasoning behind it...I have some questions...
Originally from what I was told I understood that some red pots in the early '90's fought hard to get the bonfire logo licensed...they finally got it. They wanted to help their efforts in raising money for Bonfire b/c it was always the Jr redpots who were charged with that responsibility. It was their understanding the profits from any sales of bonfire iems would go to benefit the bonfire efforts...apparently then later they found out that 1/3 of the proceeds from sales of bonfire items went to corps scholarships and the rest went to the athletics...Anyone from that era care to comment?
AS to the sales of anything bonfire related...I was shocked to hear that the Coppell club was selling the charms. Most of the mother's clubs have NOTHING bonfire related. Certainly you don't see anything parents weekend...But when I saw that the charm was made by Jeep Collins, I don't believe they can control that...He must hold the licensing..
