I agree with Premid, but for the sake of the the original thread: an officer did announce the other night in Sbisa that the university was disappointed about how people acted at duncan, about the mess, about the yells, about how some people living in the dorms are too wary of "the extremists" at dorm dinner to come out and be part of the dorm family, and how we've been warned and if people don't fix all that, then there would be repercussions.

And then we all wondered if walton would make their usual exit or bow to fear of authority. But since when has authority gotten in the way of tradition - come six o'clock they promptly made their departure known to all of the dining hall, with the officers sitting at the end of a nearby table, and I've gotta say it lightened the mood.

On a side note, when asked personally, one of them said the reason stuff got blown up like this is only b/c the board of regents and guests from westpoint (cadets and officials) were at duncan the night of. Otherwise it wouldn't have been a big deal. I say things blow over so long as there's no more overly stupid stuff for a while.
