Howdy,

I've got a couple of guys from Mosher who are planning on coming out and cutting with us this season. I need some more information on the design of their pots, preferably some pictures. I've been to the "pot design" thread and looked through it, but the description is vague and the pictures suck. So any help would be appreciated to let these guys wear their own colors out in the woods.

yeah. co-ed for at least 2 years now. all the commons are.

what about the lettering, what is written on the front and each side? any more specific information like that?

Didnt have the heart to let a tradition die just because the meaning behind it wasn't totally valid anymore.

it was green and purple, and IIRC those pots looked very good on the girls.

and check out the yearbooks and archives over in Cushing Library A LOT of dorms posed with their pots, you just have to go thru the years.

oh, and found this. scroll down to see a picture of Miranda Adams with her mosher pot (it looks dark purple/maroon with a dark green stripe around the edge and white letters).

I'm telling them to do the green with a black stripe. Thats what ive heard most. Guess we'll just wing it on what to write on there.

as a heads up, schuhmacher is green with a black stripe. as a dead hhh chief i can vouch for the accuracy of this. i don't know any current crew that uses maroon on their pots (can't speak for corps) so if you're set on using green with a stripe make it maroon...

and Ag12, you could "rework" it a little... lets see if this works...

or do what you want. just get people out. if you get enough maybe mosher can start a crew for next year like SBK did last year.

HHH has a stripe down the middle though. theres is a band of black around the rim. and im giving them a darker green than yours

dude, we have a couple of OLD hotard guys that come out with our crew. their dorm closed back in '05 and the three or four that are out there still do their yells as loud as anyone. Its about making yourself heard and reppin' your dorm.

if you have anyone good at it write some new ones... everything had to start sometime - do it twice and its tradition, right?

There's no such thing as too few people for a yell. In Clements, we just made up some yells like "CLEMENTS HALL! WE EXIST!" and "CLEMENTS HALL! NORTH OF ALBRITTON! FOUR CAME OUT AND 200 DIDN'T!"

Moshers fish pots were green with a black stripe. The co-chair pots were burgandy with a kelly green stripe and the former co-chair were opposite of that.

Fish pots letters were whatever someone wanted to put on them. Co-Chairs had names in front, block A&M on the side.

I'll second commando2004. and if you need any tips on trying to recruit people, take a look at the thread "getting all freshman crews out". I think its still on the main bonfire forum page, at the very bottom. There are some really quality tips on there.

Also, saw some Mosher boys out in the woods today! great to see yall made it out. I was a little surprised to hear there were some with FHK and some with Dunn, but at the same time its great to think that there were two groups of people from the dorm who wanted to come out - I'm guessing yalls paths just hadn't crossed. Keep coming back, it gets better as the weather gets cooler and its a lot more fun when your not clearing brush half the day.

Hmmm, I feel like I've heard this somewhere else before...

As one of those Hotard Guys Fitch talked about, I can tell you, I've seen dorms represented by one or two people come out, work hard, and do their yells. Just remeber, A redass, hardworking crew (of any size) speaks louder than any yell ever could.

A word of advice - with no exception I can think of, all the girls dorms simply used the paint scheme of the guy's dorm that they cut with and changed the colors.

If these are coed dorms now you should develop your own identity.
