Jeremy Frampton's ring is one of the ring's displayed in the ring memorial case typically found at the Association. However, I believe with the work being done, the display has been moved over the the Stark Galleries by the MSC. I was in there this evening and Jeremy's ring is the ring from '99. Very cool I thought. His is in there with some pretty darn good company.

Anyways...didn't know how many people were aware of this.

Not to take away from the meaning of his ring in that case; but if you look closely, you will notice that the ring is in perfect condition. It was a replacement because Jeremy's ring disappeared after the fall. We never figured out what happened to his, which he was wearing when stack went down.

We did notice that and found it to be very odd. But I guess it could be understandable how it would still be in decent condition after the fall. But yeah, it looked much better than mine does and I've only had it a year and a half.

This is the e-mail from back in the day that I received. My buddy's ring was never located.

"I was forwarded this information from the president of the Bay Area A&M Club. The family of Jeremy Frampton is asking for every
Aggie to email this to everyone they know. Jeremy's Aggie ring is missing. The coroner who arrived on the scene at the Bonfire field immediately after it fell said Jeremy's ring was on his finger. And he is sure of this because he checked twice. However, when Jeremy's valuables were packaged for his parents, his Aggie ring was not included. The funeral home in Houston says the ring was not on Jeremy's finger. So, sometime between the time Jeremy's body left the Bonfire field and the time it arrived in Houston, somebody removed his Aggie ring. We are hoping that it is just misplaced and not stolen. This ring is very important to the Framptons and they would like it back -- they never got to see Jeremy wearing it.

So, please email this to every Aggie you know.

Description: Class of 1999 Aggie ring with the name Jeremy Richard Frampton engraved inside."

nah - I was a Jock '99, but JF and I were close - I used to hang with the Spiders a lot (we destroyed our livers together), and we both worked at the Texaco on Texas Ave.

Random story, not related to the ring being found. But one of my dumbest moments randomest memories is of the time that Jeremy was up on the top of stack working on something and he was worried about losing him ring, so he threw his ring down to me on the ground and I tried to catch it. It really hurt my hand because that is a long way for something even small to fall.

I hope that his original ring is found and if it has been then someone should update this. I know of other rings that were lost when people would try to throw stuff. Someday it will be found.
